This Journey        written by Tammy Terrell

This journey started long before I was born  which I will travel alone to atone for my own sins. Within the sands of the Valley where the shadow of death lay I never worried about my last breath.  I knew Iwas in Gods Hands.
Even if I have to sit out in the cold I will follow the road that leads to God.
This journey started with no destination yet I had no inclination of what my life would be.  Early on handed down to me strife but I knew that God would pick me up and carry me as long I harried to do what was right. In the nights I felt the pain would never end  yet I gained much more.
I  knew not the outcome but I knew whatever I needed to succeed he would provide for me to proceed.  This journey has lead me to greener pastures, different mixtures of people and places.  Through the storms, tragedy and pain I knew I could stand in the rain.  There were times on this journey I fell but quickly got back up on my own two feet knowing I could not let it defeat me.

When I wondered what type of woman I would be I decided God had a plan for me. I found me to be a woman of substance and elegance that sheer grace he instilled in me.  I still wondered what type of mother I would be or would I have the strength to move forward.

God in time placed in my mind just how to strive and survive.  I wondered if I could make it God said "on this journey don’t just sit and take it".  Through hard work I became filled with his spirit.  He blessed me with a love of expression that I promised to share with the world.  God makes no mistakes so I did not hesitate to do my part.

When I was confused, God didn’t sit back amused.  He removed thoughts of doubt and anything else I was concerned about.  Then he placed things in clear sight so I could gain refuge.  There were times I couldn’t see.  I asked for foresight when the lines weren’t straight. God gave me the gift of insight.

On this journey I committed my fair share of sins. In time I repented from within.  God forgave me just as he did back then.  I continued on this journey because I knew if I became weary or leary of what was ahead he would clear the path.

I would travel this journey abroad.  I would move to several places and race to save my own life.  Being put to the test, in my quest God has given me rest and relief.  Rather I walk in the night alone or not I know I will see the light.  I knew on this journey I was bound to find what I needed.  I was proud of my new found Knowledge of he I call “the coming of the lord”.

I know I have many more miles and canals to travel on this journey.  I have learned you can’t walk the path to reach your journey nor your destiny without faith.  I will not let them bury me until I have done what he put me here to do.

I will take the wisdom, courage, knowledge, strength and dignity he has given me to use for a better good.  I have yet to come to the end of this journey but when it ends I want to have followed him to the Promised Land.

                                                                               “Amen”

To become, to let your will be done so be it!
